Leaving Davao after a second month business trip

I had to leave work early to avoid crying when saying good bye to folks. I have a hard habit of developing friendships and caring about these folks. I will miss them a lot, but i know I have some life long friends now. I also been asked to come back to Cebu- different city and center, so this should be interesting. If I can come back, I plan to visit Davao one weekend, for sure! Having a local phone really helped out a lot on this trip, I was also able to visit more places, hang out with more folks and meet new people. I also worked with some great folks from AT&T, but not from Sutherland....urgh, they drove me nuts. Anywho, now I take a flight to Manila (spend the day/night there at the best hotel ever!) then fly out to Tokyo the next day then transfer to los Angeles. Finally, the next day- fly home to Austin and arrive around 1pm (04/23/12)....I miss James and the kids. Oh, we have new carpet in the house, so this should be interesting.....

second trip to Davao

in the last two weeks of being here, my room got upgraded and I now have a room on the top floor (vip section). The view is amazing and free items every day, that's customer service. I have been able to make new friends and reconnect with old ones. I've been to the beach and went out on the town. Holy week was this week and everything was closed, reminded me of being in Spain. I have learned a lot this trip, thus far, and look forward to learning more in the next two weeks. Next week, we move to another hotel, b/c there are no more rooms here at the Marco Polo, but that's ok. The new hotel (Waterfront) will be right next to the ocean, which should have great views and atmosphere. I did miss a day of work, due to illness- which I think was due to either eating something (squid) or drinking the water by mistake. Either way, it was hard, but I feel much better. Today is Easter and my pals (Orvil and Chcuk) plan to stop by so we can hang out....they are silly and fun to hang out with. I will definitely miss their laughter, silly jokes and positive attitudes....
