Christmas 2014

The girls left go to home..

We had a last while they were here, we love them so much....they are truly family. The girls arrived last friday night and we stayed up to talk for about two hours. next morning, Kristi wanted juan in a million tacos, so I went to go get some. We ate then ran errands before getting ready for the Rebecca and Staney christmas show (what a hoot). we ran into Mama Mullet and she saved us front row seats. After we went out to barbarella, cheer up charlie's and had barts on the street. After came home and told james all about it since he left atfer the show. Sunday we drove to Waco and at their suspension brdige, Amber dropped Lea's ashes- very touching moment but Amber got some closure. We met up with joy and phillip after at Manny's on the river. Drove over to crazy Larry's house (krisiti's friend) then drove back home where we all passed out. Monday, we worked (me at the office and james at home) then afterwards- amber and I went shopping, had a good talk with beers then came home. Poor krisiti got sick while she was here too :( The girls left this morning...we already miss them but we have our house back, whew!

Amber and Kristi called saying they are on their way here, to stay for about a week- with all three dogs. Should be interesting....

shingles

James went to the doc b/c he found a rash on the side of his chest and it also hurt. Additionally, his back started to hurt and it was getting harder and harder for him to be comfortable. Turns out he has shingles, so I made fun of him having the first of our "old man" afflictions...damn we are getting old. He is on meds for the next three weeks....

Honoring Lea

The girls came down to spend a couple of nights with us. Friday night, we had dinner at La Posada with friends and Saturday night we had a party to remember the good times with Lea and to provide love and support to the girls. Everyone who was needed- turned out in some shape and form.....Amber said it was what she needed at the time and thanked us for being there and making this time in her life much easier......we love those girls.

Lea died today

She died today around 2pm CT...we got the text from Amber saying she was gone. I broke down and james and I hugged each other, shocked. Yes, although we knew she would pass soon, it was still a shock to hear about it. Amber doesn't know what she needs to do but Kristi let me know she was flying in the help support Amber in Beaumont. We went yesterday to visit Lea and Amber and to say bye to Lea. It was hard to see her but it helped me to prepare for anyone's death. I learned a lot from this life event, something I am very appreciative of- thank-you Lea. Glad to hear you are now at peace and no longer in pain. We love you and will miss you.....
