Sunday drive turned ugly

While driving around with James having a good time, David called and asked about some issue....still don't know why he was asked to get back online or what would he be contributing since David mentioned he and someone else were already looking into it and working it......we got home and James cried and yelled at me for how bad his job was.......I will try to avoid him for the next couple of days bc nothing I say will be enough to make him feel happy or it might set him off into a downward spiral....so, I lose either way. Update on Austin- 1,412 confirmed cases and 39 deaths. The Gov is about to make an announcement about some places re-opening, so more to come.

Friday off.....

Got too drunk the night before, ugh.....had lunch with Hawk on Saturday and we might get a push mower, after I used the neighbors lawn mower and was able to do half the backyard- James was impressed. Ran another three miles today at townlake but it seems more and more people aren't taking the social distancing very seriously....I really do hope this is all coming to an end in May (next month)....we will see....fingers crossed.

Monday Mom call

Dad is doing great, no signs of getting sick. He went over to Rachel's to figure out why her car stopped running, she never got it maintained or changed the oil- duh. Mom is scheduling a drive-by birthday celebration for Meme next week, but I explained I would not be attending, she understood. I said I would make a video and send it to him for his birthday. Ran a mile yesterday (95 degrees) and walked about 4 miles...great day to be outside. Doing it again later after work today. Update virus for Austin- 1,108 cases and 25 deaths :(

Dad exposed at work

Mom called to let me know that dad has been advised he may have been exposed while at work back on 4/3/2020, so he was advised to self-quarantine. I explained what it actually meant to mom and sent her a video of what to do if you have a family member who has been asked to quarantine themselves. Mind you- last Sunday (Easter), he and mom went to Bill's for dinner, smh. I also explained I would do more research about this but suggested dad should contact his doctor now or some type of coronavirus hotline to see if he needs to be tested and/or follow the self quarantine steps outlined in the youtube video I sent her. By the end of the call, he mood changed bc I think I scared her and she is finally realizing what's at stake. I hope I'm wrong.....I really do.

Not a normal event with the virus still in Austin....James had to work, so I really wanted/needed Homeslice so drove up north, beautiful day- sunny and 85 degrees. James got off work early and he and David are back to being friends......at this time, Austin has 774 confirmed cases and 12 deaths. Mom and dad went over to Bill's and the facetime me, it was fun to see everyone. they shared their bar-b-que and I shared my pizza, lol

Last night James spoke to mom

It was an amazing talk and she felt really good about talking to him and she told him that he is not alone and loves him.....I could cry

James had a telepresence therapy session today

Perhaps our new normal,,,,I also had a conference call with our Director, talked about work and family- nothing important. We now have to wear masks whenever we go outside or shopping....found some in our garage. Later we plan to go get his meds from the pharmacy,,,should be interesting. Austin now has 484 confirmed cases and still six deaths...no new ones today. Spoke to mom earlier and everyone is doing fine and they aren't going anywhere, so I feel better that they are taking care of themselves.

The hardest and saddest week ahead.....

That's what the CDC and Govt is saying about this upcoming week....James still had to work this weekend and has been feeling a bit under the weather but I doubt its anything serious. I have been wiping down everything we touch in the house and only I go out to get stuff for us. I keep in touch with the family via texts or calls however I still pray for them every night. Hopefully, the next two weeks end up better for us than expected. At this time, Austin has 460 confirmed cases with 6 deaths.
