What an amazing experience....but, did get caught using my phone, smh.
Took it to Mazda and had to get a new tire- $250....not what I expected to spend during the holidays!
UPDATE- after giving a negative review about my experience with Mazda and having to buy a brand new tire, their service manager contacted me and gave me a loaner car while they fixed the sensor for the wheel and paid for my new tire, so I got my money back...I plan to give them a great review now :)
Got hired on yesterday after filling out a couple of forms, taking a drug test and then submitting to a background check....now, to start working at UT, fingers crossed!
$275 but worth the trip to get her feeling better. She also got her rabies shot and some steroids to help with healing....home now, but Levi is walking around and freaked out...smh
I kinda found out when mom told me during one of our monday mom calls, but Rachel officially told Bill and I via text the next day....smh
Went down to SA and visited with the entire family at Bill's house. Jaime looked skinny to me, but only mom noticed the change. Talked with Jame most of the time (bill's brother in law), we do kinda the same type of work, plus I think he is hilarious....
Went down this morning and surprised everyone, watched Mia sign to UIW then had breakfast with the family....
Doc want him to stay on his current dose where he has already lost 50lbs in four months, wow!
His next appointment is in three months, I am starting to see him get skinny now, where I am...well, fat :(
Jaime scheduled a last minute therapy session because of election. His one hour session was good for him and let him think about things and what he has control over....now, if I could only get such help :(
Did some light training then was given a tour...shadowed a couple of my peers in setting up for a Halloween HH, which we were invited to as well...who knew?
Most of my day was spent eating and hanging out with folks....smh
Met with Michael Scott today and he really liked what I was made of- hired me on the spot as one of their new supervisors for Proof of the Pudding. Now, I get to be introduced into the back of the house type of world; set up, catering, banquets, events, customer service, etc....but, not sure if this is full-time yet because of my schedule, lol.
Well, I surprised myself by how much I worked and how hard I did it....people noticed and that was my goal for this weekend. I eventually met with the director of food and beverage and my boss talked to him about me and told him to hire me, so next steps is to set up an interview to be a supervisor/manager at COTA!!!!!
WOW.....all of this just because of networking at the Moody Center and building a good working relationship with Rebecca M at work.
take away experiences:
being around folks from all over the world
seeing famous drivers and people
working with some awesome people/and made some friends :)
walked two miles to my car every night due to the tram issue (over an hour wait)
getting recognized for being kind (myself) and made me feel really good
working in the suites with very cold A/C!
working the coffee bar, lol
getting familiar with the entire venue and learning the processes (which need a lot of work/updating)
finally.....accomplishing what I wanted to do= everyone know me, get recognized for my work ethic and landing a supervisor job out of it, whew! I DID IT!
